Fuchs Umwelttechnik Holds Lecture at the TU Cologne
On the invitation of the Institute for Restoration and Conservation Sciences at the Technical University of Cologne, Fuchs Umwelttechnik staged a professional event on the 28th of September 2010 in co-operation with Deffner & Johann, specialists for restoration requirements.
The head of the institute Professor Portsteffen and other lecturers from different faculties and about 30 students of restoration sciences learned about the basic filtering and extraction principles which are to be observed for the elimination of air pollutants from various restoration processes. The legal regulations for keeping the air at workplaces clean were also dealt with.
In the practical part of the presentation Sven Barth explained how extraction and filtering devices can be used effectively and when filters have to be changed to rule out health hazards from solid pollutants and solvent fumes.
The event was well received especially by the students looking towards a career as independent restorers.
Further events on the same topic are already planned at German universities for the 4th quarter.
